Celebrities have come together to appeal to President Biden, urging ceasefire in Gaza !

Dozens of prominent celebrities, including renowned individuals such as America Ferrera, Channing Tatum, Dua Lipa, and Florence Pugh, have united to implore President Joe Biden to urgently request a cessation of hostilities in Gaza. As the conflict between Israel and Hamas persists into its third week, numerous Hollywood stars beseeched the 80-year-old president to assist in de-escalating the crisis in both Gaza and Israel.

These influential public figures, who have formed a collective known as Artists4Ceasefire, composed an open letter to the president, articulating their solidarity as artists and advocates, but above all, as compassionate individuals who bear witness to the tragic loss of lives and unfolding horrors in Israel and Palestine.

As President of the United States, it is imperative that you urgently appeal for a de-escalation and ceasefire in Gaza and Israel to prevent further loss of life. The group emphasized the alarming death toll of over 5,000 individuals in the past ten days, a figure that should deeply concern anyone with a moral compass. They firmly believe in the sanctity of all lives, regardless of religious or ethnic background, and strongly denounce the killing of both Palestinian and Israeli civilians.

They emphasized the importance of honoring all lives in the Holy Land and urgently calling for a ceasefire, putting an end to the bombing of Gaza and ensuring the safe release of hostages. The members of Artists4Ceasefire highlighted the alarming fact that half of Gaza’s population consists of children, and over two-thirds are refugees and their descendants who have been displaced from their homes.

They urged President Biden to assist in providing humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza and expressed their confidence in the United States’ ability to play a crucial diplomatic role in alleviating the ongoing suffering.
